The company launched the Canon EOS 850D to target the new photographers on the block who are planning to upgrade from the entry-level models to mid-segment models. The new DSLR will allow the users to capture clear, sharp and precise images and record 4K videos. The newly launched Canon EOS 850D camera weighs 515g. It features a 24.1-megapixel APS-C size CMOS sensor and is powered by a DIGIC 8 imaging processor that delivers crisp and clear images. It comes with a maximum ISO range of 25,600 which can be expanded up to 51,200 for a distinct low-light capability that allows the user to capture high-quality photos under low light situations at a restaurant or a party venue.
The Canon camera equips an optical viewfinder great for shooting and controls. With the viewfinder, the users can continuously shoot with a recording speed of up to 7 fps with fixed AF and up to 4.5 fps during Live View shooting with AF tracking. The company says, “During viewfinder shooting of up to 7 fps, users will not experience any time lag, and with all cross-type 45 points AF, a wider area can be covered to allow flexibility in composing and tracking, Ideal for capturing unpredicted subjects movements” With EOS iTR – Intelligent Tracking and Recognition in Optical ViewFinder the subject tracking becomes easier with the help of face detection function. This feature allows you to identify faces even when the skin colour disappears against the background. Moreover, the Canon camera has a maximum shutter speed of 1/4000 second. With the Eye Detection AF the camera automatically focuses on the eyes of the human subject that ensures the camera clicks sharp images even when the subject is moving. With the addition of a new quick control dial on the EOS 850D, you can easily set the camera as well as search images. The dial is located on the camera body to make it more accessible while shooting to set changes by simply turning the dials. In addition to this, the camera comes integrated with a new AF-ON button on the back to act on autofocus separately. This function allows you to keep tracking the moving subject with the help of AI Servo AF. Whereas the shutter release button permits the user to consider closely on timing timings their shots perfectly so that they do not miss out on high priority moments. Besides still photography, EOS 850D allows you to record 4K UHD video in 23.98p/25p format and full HD video in 59.94p/50p format. It comes integrated with an in-body electronic image stabilization that Movie digital IS that makes it a perfect choice for the recording steady vlog and handheld movies. The Canon camera features a 3-inch touchscreen LCD monitor with a resolution of 1.04 million dots. The camera also comes with built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth LE connectivity option to connect it with your smartphone or laptop via the Canon Camera Connect app. The Canon EOS 850D will be available for purchase in India in April. So at the moment, the company has not announced the pricing of the camera but this might cost you between Rs 76,000 to Rs 90,000.
