Check the Recently Deleted folder
If you accidentally deleted a draft, you can always restore it from the Recently Deleted folder. Here’s how you can do that. Step 1: Open the Instagram app and go to your profile. Step 2: Tap on the hamburger menu icon at the top right corner of the screen.
Step 3: Select ‘Your Activity’.
Step 4: Scroll down and tap on the ‘Recently Deleted’ folder to access your deleted drafts.
Step 5: Tap on the Reel and select ‘Restore’ from the three dots menu.
The selected Reel will be restored and can be accessed from your Drafts.
Check the Upload screen
Got a call while you were about to upload a Reel? Or did your phone run out of power before you could save the draft? There’s no need to worry. Instagram makes sure you don’t lose your Reel if the app suddenly shuts down. While the Reel won’t get saved to Drafts, you can still pick up where you left from. Simply swipe left from your Instagram home screen and select Reels from the upload screen. You will find your unfinished Reel there.
Update your Instagram app
Instagram users often report their Reel Drafts magically disappearing from the app. Most of the time, this is due to the presence of a bug within the app. Instagram routinely puts out app updates that get rid of these bugs. Make sure you keep the app updated so you don’t lose any drafts. If you lost a draft, updating the Instagram app may bring it back. To update your Instagram app, go to Google Play Store and search for Instagram. Open the app page and tap on ‘Update’.
