Sheth’s tweet read, “We shall try to bring it [Realme X] earlier, but with all our effort, we think we shall be only able to bring around [the] second half of the year.” Furthermore, the CEO earlier revealed that Realme X in India will be priced at Rs 18,000. And even though the specifications and features of the Indian Realme X variant might differ from the Chinese variant, the device will come in the same Onion and Garlic back finish. Sheth also said that there will be a special variant of the Realme X for the Indian market.
Realme X price and availability (expected)
The Chinese variants of the Realme X with the 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage costs CNY 1,499 (approximately Rs 15,100) while the 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage costs CNY 1,599 (approximately Rs 16,100). The top end variant of the Realme X holds a price tag of CNY 1,799 (approximately Rs 18,100). The Indian pricing of the Realme X will most probably be similar to the Chinese variants of the device. And as the CEO of Realme said, it will be coming to the Indian market in the second half of 2019.
Realme X specifications and features
The Realme X sports a 6.53-inch Full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. The device is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 710 SoC paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The Realme X runs Android 9 Pie skinned with ColorOS 6 and it packs a 3,765mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging support.
On the camera front, the Realme X features a dual-rear camera setup which comprises of a 48MP main sensor with an f/1.7 aperture paired with a 5MP sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. While at the front, there is a 16MP pop-up selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture. Other features of the upcoming Realme X includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C port, and Dolby Atmos audio.
